Otto Wagner wishes us a Happy Birthday

Matters of Taste is three years old today.  The whole editorial board joins the CEO in thanking you, kind and faithful readers, for stopping by on a regular basis to see what’s new in architecture funnies, architect party planskitchen geekery, travel tipsBarbie bashing, dogs being awesomeArts and Crafts ecstacies and Voysey lust.  We’ve chosen Otto Wagner as our mascot for the celebration because–inexplicably–MoT‘s Ottometer indicates a surprisingly low readout.  Herr Wagner is not known to have ever uttered or written the fine phrase blazened on his photo above, but we expect he thought it (he certainly lived it) and, if he was still with us, we know he’d send us a birthday card expressing that exact sentiment.  And he’d want us to encourage you to take the pledge as well.

Have a tasty day.
